How we handle your personal data and your files.

Your files
The 36 Word tools, the "Docs Editor", and the Chrome extension process your files directly in your browser. They are never sent to our servers or to a third party, and we never have access to them. They are therefore never stored.
Data collected
Technical data during your visit (IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser), recorded by the hosting provider in its connection logs.
Email address and message content, if you write to us.
On your device only, with nothing transmitted: operation history, favorites, drafts and preferences.
With your account: name, e-mail address, plan and subscription renewal date, kept by our provider Supabase. With a payment: billing data is processed by Stripe; we never receive your card number. Only with your consent: audience measurement (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense), the latter never being shown to Pro and Pro + AI accounts. The Chrome extension collects no data.
Purposes and legal bases
Site hosting and security (technical logs): legitimate interest, GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
Responding to your messages: legitimate interest, or pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
Account, subscription and billing: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Audience measurement and advertising: consent, Article 6(1)(a). Local storage of preferences, history and drafts: necessary for the service you request; no data is transmitted.
Retention periods
Files: never stored, since never received.
Data stored in your browser: until you delete it (My account, Settings, or clearing the site’s data).
Connection logs: per the hosting provider’s policy, for the minimum period necessary.
Messages received by e-mail: for as long as needed to handle your request. Account: until it is deleted. Invoices: 10 years, under accounting obligations.
Data processors
Vercel Inc. (site hosting); Supabase (accounts and database, hosted in the European Union); Stripe (payment); Google (mailbox of the contact address and, with your consent, Analytics and AdSense).
Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel, Stripe and Google are established in the United States or transfer data there. They adhere to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and rely on standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction. You can delete your account from “My account”; data stored in your browser remains under your direct control. For any other request, write to us: we reply within one month.
