Question 1

Is Convertly Docs really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All our essential Word tools (create, edit, merge, split, convert, add text or images, etc.) are free and can be used without signing up, within the daily quota limit. Paid plans offer a higher quota for power users.

Question 2

Are my Word documents safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Almost all of our tools process your files directly in your browser (client-side). Your documents are therefore never sent to or stored on our servers. Only certain tools (such as password protection) use secure server-side processing, and the file is deleted immediately after processing.

Question 3

Do I need to create an account to use the tools?

Accepted Answer

No. You can use most of the tools without an account. Creating a free account only lets you increase your quotas, save your preferences, and access your history.

Question 4

Is there a limit on file size or number of files?

Accepted Answer

The tools accept Word documents up to several hundred MB depending on your browser's resources. The number of operations per day depends on your plan: 10 per day for Free and guest accounts, and more for paid plans.

Question 5

On which devices does Convertly Docs work?

Accepted Answer

On all modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave), on desktop as well as mobile and tablet. No installation is required.
